Remember that the clocks go back correction ON SUNDAY, another peaceful hour added to your day and longer to relax in the morning before Sunday class at 9.45. Autumn is really here and we have been exploring the change of season with imagery of turning leaves, shorter days and longer nights, warm food and colours of orange, reds, greens and brown. An invitation to tune into nature and your own rhythms.
Tune in with yoga that gives a closer connection to ourselves and the world around us, an invitation to become part of it, as in the So Haum meditation.
Tomorrow Sunday 25 September we will celebrate both the Autumn Equinox and a new moon. A time of balance and new beginnings.
Bring a cosy blanket for the yoga Nidra practice and prepare your space with a few autumn elements.
Look forward to seeing you there.
"The word “equinox” comes from Latin aequus, meaning “equal,” and nox, ”night.” On the equinox, day and night are roughly equal in length. As we turn into Autumn the southern hemisphere approaches spring. During an equinox, the sun crosses what we call the “celestial equator”—an imaginary extension of Earth’s equator line into space. The equinox occurs precisely when the Sun’s centre passes through this line and for brief period days and nights are of equal length the world over." (find out more here)
